Join us to hear guest speaker/moderator Bethany Jordan as she talks about her work with Save Cedar Rapids Heritage and facilitates discussion for our Impact workbook Chapter 2 on engaging the public.
Bethany Jordan has served as president of Save Cedar Rapids Heritage since 2016. She is a licensed architect with Martin Gardner Architecture in Marion. She also serves on the Cedar Rapids Main Street Board and Design Committee, as well as various committees for the cities of Cedar Rapids and Marion.
Bethany graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Iowa State University and is certified in historic preservation. She has received various awards and recognition, most notably the Governor’s Volunteer Award as an individual, and awards from Preservation Iowa and Iowa BIG.
She lives with her husband, 4-year-old daughter and 1 year- old son in their 1901 Queen Anne style house in the Terrace Park Historic District in Marion. She strongly believes that historic buildings strengthen our community, conserve resources, foster economic development and enrich our lives.
